T-K 1 water heaters are designed for a wide variety of residential, commercial water heating applications. |
The high performance T-K 1 sets a new standard for tankless water heating by delivering nearly 5 gallons per minute of hot water continuously - enough to shower with even while filling the tub or washing machine. |

Hot water heating accounts for 20% or more of the average United States household's annual energy costs. The average yearly costs for a conventional gas or electric storage hot water heater is $200 to $450, respectively. Hot water heaters that store water rise and maintain the water temperature to the temperature setting on the tank - usually between 120° and 140° F. Even if no hot water is drawn from the tank, the heater's burner will operate periodically to maintain the water temperature. This is due to "standby losses": the heat conducted and radiated from the walls of the tank - and in gas-fired water heaters - through the flue pipe. These standby losses represent 10% to 20% of a household's annual water heating costs. One way to reduce this expenditure is to use a demand (also called "tankless") water heater. |

Demand tankless water heaters are common in Japan and Europe. They began appearing in the Unites States about 25 years ago. Unlike "conventional" tank water heaters, tankless water heaters heat water only as it is used, or on demand. A tankless unit has a heating device that is activated by the flow of water when a hot water valve is opened. Once activated, the heater delivers a constant supply of hot water. |

The tankless design and computerized temperature control ensure that the unit will provide an endless supply of hot water at the desired temperature. The T-K 1's electronic ignition means that gas is consumed only when you are using hot water; no energy is wasted when hot water is not in use. The superlative Energy Factor of .84 means that the T-K 1 reduces greenhouse gas emissions by half, compared to a storage tank. |

The T-K 1 may be installed in a variety of locations, indoors or out, thanks to a versatile, built-in power venting system that allows for vertical venting into a flue, or horizontal venting through a wall. |

With advanced computerized sensors, safety devices, and gas valves, this "smart" product monitors the water temperature and modulates the gas valves to meet specific demands. |
